Kiz is a multidisciplinary artist from Detroit, Michigan. Born with the heart of a musician and visual artist, Kiz was drawn to the arts at a young age. Her journey began in the church choir and with the soulful vinyls she’d listen to with her mother before it morphed into a love for visual art and music through the mediums of voice and violin. Because of the time spent with those vinyls, her musical inspirations include the likes of Jill Scott,  Amy Winehouse,  Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye, and Lalah Hathaway.

While Kiz had a love for playing and singing music, the creation of her own music didn't truly flourish until she began her undergraduate studies, where she took the time to create and polish her sound and writing. Her first project, With Love, was released on Soundcloud in 2018.

When Kiz isn't writing, singing, or producing her own music, you can find her listening to Ms. Badu or Curtis Mayfield, counseling young minds, or expressing afro-futuristic ideals via her paintings.
